In this article, we're going to show you a simple trick on Snapchat to see who's following you and who's following you back on the app.

It's no secret that Snapchat is one of the most popular social networking apps in the world.. but what makes Snapchat so unique, is that there isn't a built in "discover" feature to help users easily see and find each other.

Not only that, there isn't even a way to directly see how many people are following you on Snapchat. Because Snapping revolves around people social with others, it's very important to know which of your friends actually follow you back and want to be sent your Snaps.

Although Snapchat doesn't provide a "following you" indicator when you tap a user (to let you know they're following you back), still gave us this simple trick to figure it out.

So how do you check if someone is following you on snapchat if you don't follow them?

How To See If Someone Added You Back On Snapchat

So how do you know if someone actually added you back on Snapchat?

Here's the trick:

Whenever you tap and hold on a user in Snapchat, their Snapcode pops up along with their name and Snapchat username.

But here's the important part:

If the user you tapped is following you back on Snapchat, if you are mutual friends, you'll be able to see their Snap score.

If the Snapchat user is NOT a mutual friend, (you're following them and they aren't following you) you won't be able to see their Snap score.

There will just be a blank space next to their Snapchat username (as seen above with).

Here's another question:

If someone added me on snapchat can they see my story?

It depends entirely what your privacy settings are set as within the app.

In order to check this:

  1. Open up Snapchat and go to your settings

  2. Scroll down to "WHO CAN ..."

  3. And see "View My Story"

4. From here, you can then set your privacy settings for your Snapchat story.

You can set your Snap story:

  • As public ('Everyone'), where everyone can see your story and you don't have to be following them back.

  • Only to where your mutual Snapchat friends can see your story ('My Friends').

  • Or you can customize your story by restricting or allowing certain individuals to have access to view your Snaps.
