New Snapchat Update: Chronological Snap Stories Are Back

Snapchat has evidently decided to changed it's mind on it's decision to display Stories based on an algorithm instead of chronologically

What you need to know about the latest Snapchat update:

As TechCrunch first broke the story, Snapchat users are now seeing their feeds displayed chronologically.

Although there hasn't been an official statement from Snap yet.

The company made the decision to change the way Snapchat Stories were displayed to an algorithmic feed last month.. the decision was met with huge backlash from users complaining they couldn't find their friends in the feed anymore.

Snapchat's decision to backtrack on last month's update clearly is related to the enormous pressure users have given the company over the last month to change it back.

Celebrities started to voice their opinions of the new update as well.

Kylie Jenner, who also turns out to be the most followed person on Snapchat Tweeted this out last month:

The backlash has grown so large for Snapchat's app update last month that as of April 8th, 2018, over 1,250,000 people have signed an official Change.org petition to bring back the old chronological feed in Snapchat.

Also in Snap's new app update:

There are now two tabs at the top of your Stories that allow you to filter what Snap Stories you want to appear.

The old chronological Stories feed is on both of the new tabs within the app.
